Sasha  Derrington

Sasha graduated from the University of Sussex in 2010 with a first class BSc in Biochemistry. During this time she completed a Wellcome Trust-funded summer studentship as well as her undergraduate project focusing on the protein Serum Amyloid P component.

Sasha was a Wellcome Trust-funded PhD student jointly supervised by Professor Alan Berry and Professor Adam Nelson. Her project was based on investigating the structure, function and engineering of the large multimodular proteins, polyketide synthases.
She moved to a postdoctoral position with Professor Nick Turner in Manchester.
