Sarah graduated from Aberdeen with a first class MChem degree in 2006. Part of her final year involved an overseas placement at L'Université Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand.
Sarah's PhD research is sponsored by the ESPRC and AstraZeneca, and involves using a 'scaffold switching' strategy for the diversity-oriented synthesis of polycyclic alkaloid-like libraries. Sarah is due to carry out her CASE placement AstraZeneca's Macclesfield site in summer 2008.
