Adrian  Fowkes

Adrian graduated with a first class MChem degree from the University of Aberdeen in 2006, where he was awarded the Sir George Forbes prize in Physical Chemistry.  His final year project involved a placement at L'Université Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand under the supervision of Dr Vanessa Prevot.

Adrian's PhD was supported by the BBRSC and involves a collaboration with Professor Baldwin in the Astbury centre at Leeds. Adrian's research harnessed a diversity-oriented synthesis approach to generate molecular rheostats to elucidate the function of amino acid transporters.
